Textured Cut Pile -
The loops are cut, creating many individual yarn tufts. Permanently bending each of the yarns creates the texture. This produces a more casual appearance.

Plush Cut Pile -
This carpet has individual yarn tufts. These tufts are straight, creating a smoother more formal look.

Textured Cut Pile Berber -
Introducing "color flecks" throughout a textured cut pile creates this distinctive carpet. These flecks accentuate its casual appearance.

Velvet Plush Cut Pile - 
This is a plush cut pile with very fine yarn tufts. The result is a very smooth clean finish.

Tone On Tone Cut Pile -
This carpet is a cut pile that has multiple color shades thoughout. This is a favorite among families with high traffic areas. The multiple shades camouflage some stains and wear.

Cut Pile Cable -
This carpet has individual tufts of yarn. Each of these tufts is very thick, causing them to have a "cable" appearance.

Textured Cable -
This carpet is a cut pile cable with bent yarns. The texture creates a more casual look.

Level Loop -
This style, sometimes called a berber, is a carpet constructed of loops. The loops are uniform and create a relatively smooth surface.

Precision Cut & Loop -
This is a combination of loops and cut yarns. The contrast produced using this technique creates the pattern in the carpet.

Textured Loop -
This is a loop carpet that has random height levels. The variation in the loops levels creates a "knubby" appearance.

Loop Pattern -
This is a loop carpet with a variation in the size of the loops. this variation is precise and creates a definite pattern in the carpet.

Tip Sheared Pattern -
This style combines loops and cut pile yarns to create stylish patterns in the carpet. Shearing the top of the high loops of the patterned carpet creates tip-sheared look.

Cut Pile Patterns - 
This is another of the more contemporary styles of carpet. Varying the height of the cut pile yarns to create a definitive pattern.

Shag -
This is one of the most distinctive styles on the market. It is created using either cable cut pile or textured cut pile yarns. They are very long and spaced further apart than usual. This creates the unique flowing look of the shag.
